• The foam used is a supreme quality CMHR50 kilo foam. It is supported by the finest quality pocket springs and offers maximum durability and comfort.
• This foam cot mattress does not contain any added antimony or phosphorous as advised by SIDS.
• The foam is completely wrapped in a stockinette cover, reducing 'foam grip' and allowing the outer 'SafeTex Plus' cover to be removed (for machine washing) easily without struggling.
• The mattress cover is made of Futura on one side and SafeTex pluson the other. Futura. is waterproof, really breathable and has a really lovely soft feel to it and will wash at 60°c ..... will promote healthy and hygienic quality sleep and is durable.
  Safetex Plus is breathable and water vapour permeable, It will protect the foam from spillage yet allow air through. There is no need for it to be padded as it covers a 50 weight highly supportive foam topper.
• The cover can be machine washed at 60°C - the temperature needed to kill dust mites, and help to avoid baby asthma. When the cover comes out of a fast spin washing machine it is virtually dry - just an airing or a very very light tumble and it is back in use.
• We do not pipe the edge of the cover to make it look pretty (covered by your sheet anyway) this only introduces unnecessary dye into the fabric and increases the cost without any benefit.
• We have not made the whole cover of Futura. as it is really expensive!
• Pocket springing will help prevent a simple condition called positional molding, as a result of slight pressure on the back of the skull, sometimes caused because of the correct advice from SIDS which states to sleep babies on their backs.
• The Futura/SafeTex plus cover is easy to remove has a full zip
  
• The cover is virtually dry when it comes out of a very fast spin machine - give it a quick airing and back on again
