• This foam cot-bed mattress does not contain any added antimony or phosphorous as advised by SIDS.
  
• The special cover has one side which is quilted and luxurious and the other side which is a soft, high barrier, breathable material. Comfortable - avoids perspiration. Anti-allergenic - ideal for asthmatics. Resistant and highly breathable. Choose the side that best suits your baby to sleep on.
  
• We have made the cover with an extra long zip that goes around two corners and the long side so it is easy to remove - for machine-washing at 40°C.
  
• All our mattresses comply with all the requirements of BS 1877 Part 10 for safety and performance and BS 7177 for flammability.
• This mattress is fitted with a waterproof slider, this gives added protection to prevent urine getting to the mattress core (in the unlikely event that it gets past the breathable mattress cover). We make the slider just 60cm wide so it does not hinder the airflow of the mattress or contribute to your baby overheating. When your baby is older and perhaps moves about their cot in the night you may need further protection for your mattress, There is available from us a machine washable waterproof sheet for only £2.49 that you can slip in position under the safetex cover.
